It’s a new day, it’s a new dawn
After what feels like months of planning and designing, many sleepless nights, and an all-nighter of a final push, the new website is finally live! Wahoo!
We can’t begin to express how pleased we are with it all, and how much we love all the prettiness that has been created, and how the new site has a very “NOW” feel rather than something that has just been thrown together, we feel it finally represents us!
We have never really like the term ‘re-branding’ much, as it kind of implies a complete change of direction.
Katherine Rouse – KR Photography
However that is what 2017 is, it’s a change of direction for the business, yes the ethos that we have had will never change but in moving from Katherine Rouse Photography to KR Photography we feel we are publicly announcing that the business is no longer about one person but us as a team. It’s about the evolution of us as a brand.
Style and Vision
We have always said that the clearer your style and vision gets, the better you are able to communicate what you are about, and with that, your identity gets sharper. And while your brand evolves, we think that it’s equally important that the core feel of it remains familiar. Personally we think that’s what we’ve managed to achieve with the new website. Some of you will see that we have stripped back elements of our service, whilst we still carry out boudoir photography the decision has been made that that shouldn’t sit at the side of Wedding & Family portrait photography.
We feel like the KR Photography brand has finally matured, but without losing the love for the pretty and cute, those will always be a part of our aesthetics – as are the colours that have followed Katherine pretty much from the beginning.
Anyways, without further ado, do take a look around and make yourselves at home! There is still a bit of fine-tuning happening with the blog, and some bits to still be added on the main site but hopefully you will find it easy to navigate and pretty to look at. And do let us know what you think!
