Jo & Neville – Romantic rum fueled wedding at The Mansion House Doncaster
Neville & Jo got married at the lovely The Mansion House, Doncaster, in October. It was a crazy fun filled wedding, with massive smiles, personal touches, the most delicious feast with live music, provided by family friends.
Jo got ready in the lounge at The Mansion House with her adorable mum, Bridesmaids & Old Maids. There was such a happy vibe. Even if we did have “SALAD GATE” courtesy of the lovely Maddie. Jo was really relaxed and beaming, she even had time for a digestive! She wore a stunning lace & crystal detailed dress, and looked just incredible. Jo and Neville opted for a “first look” which gave them a perfect opportunity to spend several special moments together before the madness of the day took over.
Neville got ready in one of the mayoral chambers with his best man & groomsman Will. He wore A dapper grey suit and brown shoes, and looked really handsome.
The ceremony took place in the grand ballroom at The Mansion House Doncaster. In the Ballroom the aisle was line with candles, which was so perfect, and gave that personal touch. To start ceremony began with both Neville & Jo walked down the aisle with their children, and finished with a big cheer & round of applause from everyone. It was a gorgeous ceremony, full of private smiles and excited hand squeezes. Both Melissa & Will provided heartfelt and meaningful readings.
After the ceremony, there were lots of hugs and kisses from all the guests, along with smiles, laughter and of course RUM punch, which was a great idea by the couple. Then we took some time out for photos, which was really lovely. I got some really special couples photos around the property – I especially love the photos of them both on the Royal Balcony at the front of the Mansion House. The weather was all sunshine and blue skies, it was a stunning day.
For the reception, the couple had planned the most amazing feast and had it laid out in the parlour for their guests, and everyone really enjoyed it – Jo and Neville had a whopping three cakes, but they were adored by all of the guests and super tasty, especially the West Indian Rum cake, which was delicious.
Following the reception, everyone got straight on the dance floor, and the party really got started. The dance floor was packed all night. The DJ played all the best songs to get everyone dancing. The songs were both Jo & Neville’s favorites are were loved by all the guests.
The evening ended with a huge buffet, which was incredible. All of the guests loved the fact it was a mix of English & West Indian cuisine. The whole wedding was just the happiest occasion, from the romantic vows to the heartfelt speeches. Jo even surprised Neville with a spectacular second dress, he was speechless!
One of the best moments of the wedding for us was seeing how happy these two make each other. But not only that how supportive and loving their friends and family are. Because this in itself reminded me that “This is LOVE”.
The drinks were also a talking point of the wedding – but then again who dosen’t love RUM punch.
Much Love KRP x
